About Uzi
Alright, you asked for it so here goes... I'm a geek in the SF Bay Area, but originally from Los Angeles, having attended Van Nuys High School's Math/Science Magnet program, as well as UCLA for a BS in Computer Science and Engineering. Before I left UCLA, I started the UCLA Linux User Group. In the past few years, I've had a decent variety of work experience, working at Sun Microsystems, then Linuxcare and then SuSE, Inc.. I then rejoined Sun as a software engineer in their Cobalt subsidiary, a company they purchased which did Linux-based network server appliances, but they got shifted to working on general purpose Intel/AMD servers. I then found an opportunity at Sun Labs to do some interesting researchy kinda stuff. After that, I spent some time at Network Appliance, working on their filesystem. If you would like to see my resume, send me an email to request it. I've hack on various Open Source stuff, the Linux kernel in particular, as well as cgvg, cscope, and lots of random other stuff. |
